NDI DENMARK - FOUNDED IN 1970

Since its meagre beginnings in 1970, NDI has developed from a small company primarily focusing on tire sales and fitting into an international holding company with divisions in Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Germany and China. Then, as now, the company’s headquarters are in Denmark.

 

2012

Establishment of NDI Tire, Qingdao, China.

2011

Establishment of NDI Finland.

2007

Launch of Nordexx "Private Brand".

1998

Anja, René and Kenneth Kristensen become co-owners of the group. All take an active part in running the company.

1995

NDI celebrates 25 year jubilee.

1989

NDI begins importing Toyo.

1988

Establishment of NDI Norway.

1986

NDI begins importing Hankook

1984

NDI begins importing Alliance.

1982

Establishment of NDI Sweden.

1979

Launch of Euroband production of retread tires for buses and trucks.

1977

NDI changes address to 2.000 m2 office and warehouse facilities on Merkurvej in Brørup. The company’s head office remains at this address, which today provides approx. 75.000 m2 of floor space.

1974

First tire service centre established in Fredericia under the name ‘Trekantens Dæk Center’. This was the beginning of the successful tire chain Super Dæk Service, which has 60 service centres in Denmark, all of which are owned by NDI and in Norway and Sweden we maintain 240 service centres on a soft franchise basis.

 

1971

1st of April 1971 in Holstebro, Denmark, the first new build garage was ready. From this day the spare time job became a fulltime job.

1970

NDI Denmark is founded by Benny Kristensen, who started selling and mounting tires in his spare time.
