The NDI Group is celebrating its 50th anniversary in 2020. To celebrate the anniversary, the company has launched a digital campaign on LinkedIn with excerpts from its history from when it was established in a private garage in Holstebro until today.
With the title of “50 years and still rolling,” the NDI Group has launched a campaign with one history per year since the company was founded in 1970 under the name of “Holstebro Dæklager.” During the 50 years that the company has existed, it has become the leading supplier of tires, rims, and wheels in the Nordics. Around 900 employees are distributed across six countries.
- To mark our tire company's round birthday, we have been looking in our historical archive for good stories through the years. We then tell one story per year, and we start in 1970, when the company, like many others, began as a hobby project in a garage, says Jens Jakob Kjær Hansen, PR- and Social Media Manager at the NDI Group.
The campaign that can be followed on the official LinkedIn profile of the NDI Group will be a mix of big and small stories through the years. The stores will be supplemented and supported by old photos and newspaper clippings that the NDI Group founder, Benny Kristensen, has collected and stored for 50 years.
- We will tell many different kinds of stories from the big, strategic decisions being taken through the years as well as stories about the important partnerships with the tire industry, and finally also some smaller anecdotes, among others, Jens Jakob Kjær Hansen says and continues:
- In the end, all stories have the same purpose – that is, to tell about what characterizes the NDI Group as a company and workplace, and the things that have shaped us through our history and make us become who we are today.
The NDI Group is today still a 100% family-owned business.
